MEET OUR NEW HEAD CHEF & TEAM
We are very pleased to welcome award-winning Head Chef Leigh Evans, formerly of Combe Grove Manor, The Chequers and The Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath. Leigh Evans has built a team dedicated to finding the best local food representing our area, serving up great food combinations & taste driven dishes. He has a nose to tail philosophy to menu design, which works well with both simple pub fayre and more complex dishes. Everything is made on site, so he can be very flexible, and will personalise dishes around any diet & allergy requirements you may have.
Leigh’s love of food vibrates through the kitchen and front of house to our guests, and The Methuen Arms will continue to be a lovely neighbourhood restaurant, well established on the ‘foodie’ radar.
We serve food every day of the week, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and are open all day for tea, coffee and delicious homemade biscuits & pastries…

We like to keep the beer miles down, so local West Country ales from the smaller craft breweries. The wine list is a big part of what we do buying from smaller producers much of whom we have personally visited or are on the radar. We support the artisan producers with an interesting back story which keeps our drinks offering refreshingly different & diverse. So lots of Chase, Somerset Cider Brandy. Massive Gin Selection & malt whiskies.
